Spectrovenator (meaning Hunter of Ghosts) is an extinct member of the family Abelisauridae. It lived in Brazil from The late Huaterivian to the Coniacian, or from 125.7-89.3 MYA. It was named "Ghost Hunter" because the holotype of Spectrovenator was unexpectedly found under the holotype of the sauropod Tapuiasaurus. It contains a single species, Spectrovenator Bonapartei.
