It was the largest, most powerful, and most common predator in its enviroment. It lived with other giants such as Carcharodontosaurus, Rugops, Sigilmassasaurus, Suchomimus, and Titanovenator. It also lived with Sarcosuchus, a crocodile capable of reaching 39 feet in length, The large sea snakes Nigerophis, Nubianophis, and possibly Palaeophis Africanus. It also possibly lived with the land snakes Norisophis and Gigantophis.
